Plantable Valentines

Materials: paper, seeds, sponges, screen, blender
Activity: Shred paper. Mix in water. Blend paper mixture in blender. Add seeds and pulse. Place cookie cutter on screen (from Lowes). Use your fingers or a sponge to press pulp inside cookie cutter, into an even layer. Let it dry. Give it as a Valentine! Include planting instructions: “Place the paper into raked ground, cover with a quarter inch of soil then water and keep moist until germination, about 6 to 8 weeks.”
Research Questions: How does the original texture, shape or color of paper affect how the pulp looks or feels after blending?
