Potato Trap Hunt
Fri, Sep 12, 2014
Materials: Potato, rubber bands
Activity: Make a Potato Trap: Slice a potato in half, length-wise. Scoop out the insides with a spoon. Carve a small hole in one end of a potato half. Put the potato halves back together. Secure the halves with a rubber band. Hide several potatoes, in different places, outside. Check on them, the following day, and see what animals are hidden in the trap! Potato Trap Hunt: Find potato traps, hidden throughout the playground. Record where you find them and what animals are inside.
Research Question: How does where the potato traps are hidden affect what is trapped inside them?
