Squishy Sensory Bags
Fri, May 23, 2014
Materials: Ziploc bag, clear hair gel, small objects (sequins, foam shapes, glitter, beads...), food coloring, packing tape
Activity: Squirt hair gel in a Ziploc bag. Add small objects and food coloring. Add a layer of tape over the Ziploc seal. Use nail polish remover to remove Ziploc logo. Try taping the bag against a window, taping it to a white background, or using it on a light table. Dye several cups of hair gel, place them in the bag and squish around to mix the colors. Create a giant sensory bag by duct taping two shower curtains together and filling it with water.
Research Question: How does placing an object in a Ziploc baggie with hair gel affect the way the object feels?
