Salt Dough Decorations

Materials: Salt, Water, Flour (cake flour, all purpose flour, whole wheat flour)
Activity: Make salt dough. Mix a ratio of one part salt, one part water and two parts flour. Cut out shapes with play-dough tools. Air dry or bake at 200° for an hour or more. Paint.
Research Questions: How does the type of flour affect the texture of the dough? Appearance? Amount of water needed to make a dough?
