Gingerbread Shadow Box

Materials: Shaving cream, glue, decorations, candy (peppermints, peel apart licorice sticks, gumdrops, skittles), Craft supplies (puffballs, pipe cleaners, googley eyes, foam, dyed pasta), Items from nature (acorns, mulch, berries, sticks, rocks)
Activity: Fill a large mixing bowl with shaving cream and mix in ¾ cup of glue. Spoon puffy paint onto a plate or shadow box. Press decorations into the shaving cream. Squeeze colored puffy paint from a squirt bottle (see entry from May 16, 2014). Set aside to dry for 24 hours.
Research Questions: How does the texture of the object affect how well it sticks in the puffy paint snow? Weight? Density? Surface area? How does time affect how well objects stick?
