Materials: Ice cubes, Kool-Aid
Activity: Kool Aid Ice Painting Activity: Freeze ice cubes with a popsicle stick in each one. Sprinkle Kool Aid over paper. Hold the popsicle handle and paint with the ice cube! Ice Melting Contest: Which color t-shirt does ice melt the fastest on? Which surface does ice melt the fastest on (baking sheet, wood, styrofoam)?
Research Questions: How does adding salt to ice affect how ice melts? How does the temperature of a surface affect how fast ice melts?
