Materials: Air Line tubing for fist tanks (Walmart), syringe (Tractor Supply)
Activity: Play with water and plastic tubing. Make a Plastic Tube Bracelet: Use a syringe to fill a 8 inch long piece of plastic tube, with colored water. Tape it into a bracelet. Turn the bracelet around. Where does the water go? Make a Plastic Tube Jump Rope: Fill a 3 foot long piece of plastic tube, with colored water. Hold the ends of the tubing out at arms length. Raise one arm higher than the other. Where does the water go? Make a siphon. Let water flow from a higher bucket to a lower bucket.
Research Questions: In the Bracelet and Jump Rope, how does moving the tube affect how high the water is? In the Siphon, how does moving the tube affect if water flows and how quickly it flows?
