Mixing Light

Materials: Three flashlights, red, blue and green cellophane, rubberband
Activity: Attach one of each color of cellophane to over each flashlight. Hold the cellophane on with a rubberband. Flash the flashlights over a white surface. Red light + green light = yellow. Red light + blue light = magenta. Blue light + green light = cyan. Red light + blue light + green light = white.
Big Question: How is mixing light similar or different to mixing paint?
