Tablecloth Trick for Preschool

Materials: Blocks, pencil, rhythm stick
Activity: Stack 5 flat blocks. Place a rythem stick on the ground. Grab the stick at both ends. Pull the stick toward you and crash it through the lowest block in the tower. The lowest block will come flying out, but the rest of the blocks will remain in a tower! Try using Jenga blocks and a pencil.
Research Questions: What happens to the tower when you pull the pencil faster or slower? What happens if you make the tower taller or shorter?
