Materials: Balloon, string, straw, blue painters tape
Activity: Tie a string to a door handle. Thread some straw on a string. Blow up a balloon, but don't tie it. Tape the balloon on the string. Let go and watch it fly across the room.
Research Questions: How far and fast does our balloon go? How does size of balloon affect speed and distance? Type of straw? Position of straw(s)? Type of string?
