Materials: 2L plastic bottle, cork, water, air pump

Activity: Fill a plastic bottle one-fourth full of water. Punch a hole in a cork with the air pump needle. Cork the bottle. IMPORTANT: Prop up the bottle and point the bottle away from you. Add pressure to the bottle until the cork pops out and the bottle shoots away.

Research Questions: How can we make the bottle shoot higher? How does pressure affect speed and height? Amount of water? The addition of fins to the rocket?
