oForce and Motion: Balloon Pendulum



Vocabulary: Pendulum, Air, Force, Motion, Swing, Gravity, Big, Small, Longer, Shorter, Slow, Fast, Faster and Faster, Slower and Slower, Time

Materials: Balloon, String

Activity: Hang a balloon from a string, and swing it. Try different balloons at different lengths. Add forces to the balloon in different ways (pull, push, blow, hit, swing).

Measurement: Measure how long it takes for the balloon to swing back and forth.
